Team Project Coordinator

Prof. Vittoria Raffa

Professor of Molecular Biology, PhD in Nanotechnology, Marie Curie Scholar, ERC awardee, Vittoria Raffa leads the Nanomedicine and Molecular Biology Laboratory (NAMOBIO). Over the past 10 years, the lab has received several “Seals of Excellence” through participation in prestigious funding programs, including the Italian Science Fund (FIS), the European Research Council (ERC), the European Innovation Council (EIC), and the Human Frontier Science Program.

The lab operates in the fields of molecular biology, synthetic biology, and nanotechnology, aiming to study gene expression regulation and modulate cellular functions through the development of rationally engineered nano-switches. The main research focus is the identification of molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways underlying neuronal mechano-sensitivity.
